The repair work on the Narayana Flyover in West Delhi is almost complete. All three joints have been repaired and reconnected.
The PWD has completed the work by Saturday night, but it may take three to four days for the joint to dry. After that, the flyover will be opened to traffic from May 22nd or 23rd.
According to the traffic police, the repair work on the three joints of the Narayana Flyover was started on May 2nd. Due to this, the flyover was closed for 20 days in the direction from Delhi Cantt to Mayapuri. Due to its closure, vehicles had to crawl for about three kilometers from Mayapuri to Barakha Square on the Ring Road every day.
On Saturday, vehicles were seen crawling on the Ring Road due to the repair work on the flyover. A jam of about three kilometers long was formed in the evening.
It took about 20 minutes for motorists to cover a distance of three kilometers. Vehicles were also seen crawling in the direction from Mayapuri to Delhi Cantt during this time. More than 20 traffic policemen have been deployed to deal with the jam problem near the flyover.
The PWD has completed the repair work of the three joints. The repair and drying process of the first two joints has been completed here, but the repair of the third joint was completed only on Friday. It will take three to four days for it to dry. The flyover is likely to be opened for vehicles from May 22nd to 23rd.
