Julian Mills is among five new starters at the TMC this year so far.
Global travel management company Corporate Travel Management (CTM) has doubled the size of its sales team in the UK in just six months following a period of intense investment.
Julian Mills, Amy Edmonds, and Gemma Todman are the newest members to have joined the 13-strong team this year. More opportunities across the business development team remain open and applications are welcome.
CTM’s EVP Business Development EMEA, Shelley Mathews, said: “We have – and we still are – investing heavily in creating the best TMC sales team in the business. With our incredible technology, customer service, global reach, ROI and a sales team that has expert knowledge across every corporate sector, I’m in no doubt we will be very busy in the year ahead.”
Julian Mills joins CTM as SVP Sales Strategy and Transformation
Julian Mills is well-known and well-respected in the business travel industry with over 35 years’ experience in the corporate, travel technology and airline sectors. Roles include senior management positions with Direct ATPI Global Travel, Travelport, Amadeus and Traveldoo Technologies. He is an active member of GBTA, serving a fifth year as a mentor on the GBTA Ladders programme, and previously sat on the board of ITM for 6 years and remains an active member today.
“CTM’s global proposition aligns closely with my experience working with leading TMCs over the last 35 years and, as a technologist, I am hugely impressed with the business’s proprietary tech, especially CTM’s OBT Lightning,” said Mills. “On their own, these were tempting reasons to join the team but it’s the company’s culture and people that swayed it for me. As soon as I met the team, I felt confident my own style of leadership skills and strategic thinking would be a great fit and vice versa.”
Gemma Todman joins as VP Sales
Gemma Todman joins CTM with over a decade of experience working within the corporate travel and technology industry where she has a proven track record in cultivating strategic partnerships and driving business growth. Roles have included Strategic Sales at American Express GBT and Senior Enterprise Sales at Uber for Business where she also led the Enterprise Business Development team.
Gemma has been an avid member of GBTA Ladders, both as a winner in her first year and since as an alumni advisor. She has also been a member of ITM since 2014. “The importance of travel in the world’s economy for business success is unparalleled. CTM works very successfully with businesses to drive complex travel programmes with proprietary technology globally alongside a true customer-first culture,” said Todman.
“CTM has an innate ability to support businesses by leading the way companies can create and track sustainability budgets down to individual level whilst prioritising employee wellbeing and directly connecting to content travel buyers want without limitations. I’m excited to return to the TMC world and help businesses evolve their travel programmes effectively in an ever-changing landscape propelled by AI.”
Amy Edmonds joins as Director of Business Development
Amy Edmonds joins CTM from Reed & Mackay and has also held positions at Clarity and Agito. She started her travel career 17 years ago and has since worked across a variety of disciplines from operations to account management and business development, picking up awards along the way for her sales performance and client management.
“CTM is a brand I have always respected and admired,” she said. “When it comes to technology and innovation, CTM is way ahead of the curve. I love CTM’s Climate+ offering and the way it supports clients to reduce their carbon footprint, and I have been impressed with the way CTM’s technology actively encourages users to book cost effectively (as well as responsibly) to increase ROI. I’m now looking forward to seeing how the CTM tech team will continue to develop AI for better efficiencies, without removing the personal touch.”
