A major winter storm hitting the northeastern U.S. today is giving Maine a miss, but those looking to travel out of state might run into delays or outright cancellations.

The storm is predicted to miss Maine entirely, with little to no snow in southern York County, and nothing anywhere else. Farther south, however, the storm is expected to drop several inches of snow as far away as Pennsylvania.

Flights to and from Maine appear to be on time except for those going to New York or New Jersey.

Morning and daytime flights coming from New York City Tuesday were delayed or canceled, according to Bangor International Airport and Portland Jetport.

One flight due to arrive in Portland this morning from Newark, New Jersey, has been canceled. Bangor International reported a similar cancellation.

Flights to New York and New Jersey this morning out of Bangor have been canceled. Some Portland flights made it to New York and New Jersey, but all midday flights have been delayed or canceled.

As of Tuesday morning, late afternoon and evening flights are scheduled to depart on time.

The weather has also affected bus service from Portland to Logan Airport in Boston. According to Concord Coach Lines, all southbound buses from Portland will be canceled from 7:30 a.m. Tuesday through 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Most buses northbound are also canceled from 7:30 a.m. Tuesday through 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, according to the service’s schedule. Some buses north and southbound servicing Augusta, Bangor and universities in Maine have also been canceled.

Train travel does not appear to have been affected, as there do not appear to be any notices concerning the Downeaster, which travels between Brunswick and Boston. Some interruptions and delays have been reported, however, between Boston and Penn Station in New York City.
