Air india makes A350 debut with Dubai flights

Air India made a milestone as it launched its flights on the bustling Delhi-Dubai route utilising its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft adorned with the airline’s striking new livery.

This inaugural flight marked the international debut of Air India’s flagship aircraft, positioning Air India as the sole carrier operating the A350 between India and Dubai.

The commencement of operations was commemorated with special pre-departure ceremonies, where guests at both Delhi and Dubai airports were presented with exclusive A350 memorabilia.

At Dubai airport, the ceremonial lamp was lit by esteemed dignitaries including Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General, India in Dubai, Jamal Al Hai, Deputy CEO, Dubai Airport, and Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, signifying the auspicious departure of the aircraft.

Air India’s Airbus A350-900 boasts a luxurious three-class cabin configuration featuring 316 seats. This includes 28 opulent Business suites with full-flat beds, 24 Premium Economy seats offering enhanced legroom and amenities, and 264 spacious Economy seats. All passengers onboard enjoy access to the cutting-edge Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system, complete with HD screens offering a vast selection of over 2,200 hours of entertainment content from across the globe.

The induction of A350s into Air India’s fleet began earlier this year, as part of the airline’s ambitious initiative following the placement of a substantial order for 470 new aircraft a year ago.

Currently, Air India operates a robust schedule of 72 weekly flights to Dubai from five major Indian cities, with Delhi alone accounting for 32 flights, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to providing seamless connectivity and exceptional service to passengers traveling between India and Dubai.
