There is intense competition between Tesla and BYD in the global electric car market. While Tesla is eyeing the Indian market, BYD is gearing up to launch its Seal electric car on March 5.
Features and Specifications
The BYD Seal will come with an 82.5kWh battery providing a range of 570 km on a single charge. The car boasts a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle and accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds.
Charging and Performance
BYD Seal is equipped with blade technology batteries and can be charged at a speed of 150kW, reaching 80% charge in just 37 minutes. With an 11kW AC charger, it takes 8.6 hours for a full charge.
Price and Features
The BYD Seal may also be available in a dual motor AWD variant and features a 15.6-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 50 lakh in India.
